  9. Annotated Bibliography • A Short History of Malaysia • The e-book by Hooker, V.M. is about the history of the region where modern Malaysia sits today, starting from the pre-historic era to today’s Malaysia by briefly explaining the key events that have effected the modern country. I have used this brief explainations to give historical background on the country. • CIA World Factbook • The official CIA site gives a detailed analysis of the countries of the world. Religion, Economy, Ethicity, Natural Resources, Politics...etc can all be found on the site. I have used this site to gather the specific numbers on the subject and supported the other material I have found and used for this presentation. • Malaysia Profile (2006) • This paper is a general but relative to the world factbook more detailed information on the country of Malaysia stating the country’s economy, politics, social welfare...etc. I have used most of the information listed in this paper. • Malaysian Politics under Mahathir • This e-book by Milne, R.S. explains the political advancements in the era of the prime minister Mahathir who is the most important pm in the history of the country since 1963. The country is stated to live its golden years under the leadership of Mahathir. I have used the book on the subjects on politics by refering to the advancements and the advantages and the disadvantages of his governing. • Malaysia’s Political Economy • The e-book by Gomez, E.T. is about the relationship between politics and economy in Malaysia. The effect of the political powers on the policy-making and as a relust effecting the economic policies to either elevate the country or led to its down-fall economically. I have used this book to show that the political regiemes and political decisions effect countries economically and increasing the economical power of a country increases the international power of the country meaning the countries with better economic situations have more say in the event of an international dispute. • Managing Ethnic Division in Phillipines and Malaysia • This paper by Peter Krauzer is about the ethnicity and the roles of the branches of the country in situations dealing with the differences in ethnicity and caring for the welfare of each. I have used in this paper the chapter about the roles of the Malaysian state on the topic of multietnicity in the country.
