  12. La mission d’Al Gore n’est pas si divine que ça. Avant de faire son film « une vérité qui dérange », il a d’abord fait quelque chose qui l’arrange, lui. Il a fondé Generation Investment Management (GIM), un hedge fund courtier et spéculateur de produits financiers verts. GIM est basé à la City de Londres et a été crée avec l’aide de David Blood, l’ancien directeur de Goldman Sachs Asset Management, et de quelques cadres de cette banque, la numéro 1 mondiale de la gestion d’actifs, spécialisée dans les spéculations en tous genres. Et là il ne doit pas nous échapper que plus les dirigeants et les peuples seront convaincus du réchauffement climatique par les prophéties d’Al, plus les flux d’argent se porteront sur les produits financiers verts. Une date, un lieu permettent de mieux comprendre cela : Londres, le 30 octobre 2006. Gordon Brown, qui était alors le numéro 2 du gouvernement Blair, participe à une conférence de presse pour la sortie du rapport Stern. Sir Nicholas Stern, alors 2e secrétaire au Trésor de Sa Majesté, avait été embauché par Brown pour étudier les enjeux économiques du réchauffement climatique. La recommandation phare de ce rapport était de créer un marché d’échange international pour les émissions de carbone. Ce qui est devenu la grande cause de Sir Stern, qui a quitté le gouvernement en juin dernier pour devenir conseiller en carbone et finance verte de HSBC, une des banques historiques de l’empire colonial britannique. Lors de cette conférence de presse, Brown a annoncé qu’il avait « embauché » Gore pour « conseiller le gouvernement britannique sur le changement climatique ». Par la suite, Gordon Brown a avoué vouloir faire de Londres le centre d’un « marché mondial du Carbone » [Voir encadré 1]. Vous commencez à y voir plus clair ?
