  2. WARM UP Why is it important to have multiple trials during an experiment? Why is it important to have detailed and complete procedures?

  3. Now that you have your QUESTION & HYPOTHESIS…. You will write your list of MATERIALS and your PROCEDURES

Problem: An Alien landed on earth and discovered the peanut butter and jelly sandwich and wants to take back the recipe to their alien planet …. • Question: How do you make a perfect peanut butter and jelly sandwich? • Hypothesis: If I put an equal amount of peanut butter and jelly on slices of bread, then I will have a delicious peanut butter sandwich because the equal ratio produces the best tasting sandwich. • Independent variable: amount of peanut butter and jelly • Dependent: taste of sandwich • Control: same type of bread

  10. Check Point 1: Do you have a science journal? Do have the right tools?  If your answer is “no” to one or both questions, make sure you have what you need by TOMORROW.
