  2. YOUTH SALUTE The Lincoln Trail Youth Leadership Council is currently requesting nominations for the upcoming Youth Salute.

  3. YOUTH SALUTE To qualify, a student must: *Be a high school junior (Class of 2014) *Be a good student – cumulative 3.0 GPA or better through the sophomore year *Have been elected to two positions of leadership by their peers in school, religious, or community-sponsored organizations during the past two years

  4. YOUTH SALUTE All juniors who qualify should access the application forms directly from the website: www.ltys.org. If you are unsure of your GPA, check with your counselor. All nomination forms must be completed & returned to the Guidance Office by December 10, 2012. PLEASE BE SURE TO READ & FOLLOW DIRECTIONS!

  5. FINANCIAL AID WORKSHOP EHS will host a Financial Aid Parent Workshop on Wednesday, December 5, 2012, from 6:30p.m. – 8:00 p.m. in the EHS Library. Jo Newton from KHEAA (Kentucky Higher Education Assistance Authority will be conducting the workshop. Come & find out more about the FAFSA, Pell Grant, CAP Grant, and much, much more.

  6. STUDENT COUNCIL There will be a Student Council meeting after school today, December 4th, in Mrs. Lunsford’s room.

  7. SPANISH CLUB There will be a Spanish Club meeting at 7:20 a.m. this Thursday, December 6th. Meeting will be held in Mrs. Barcenilla’s room. All members need to attend.

  8. SADD CLUB The SADD Club will be selling Secret Santa bags during lunch next Monday, Tuesday, & Wednesday for $1.00. There will be a meeting on Thursday at 7:20 in Mrs. Conway’s room.

  9. FCA FCA will meet Friday, December 7, 2012, at 7:15 a.m. in the Library.

  10. EHS BOOK CLUB The Book Club will be meeting at the Movie Palace on Tuesday, December 18th, to see The Hobbit. See Mr. Ernst for details. There will be NO Book Club meeting for December.

  11. EHS LIBRARY The EHS Library Barnes & Noble Book Fair continues on line until midnight December 5th. When you place an order on line be sure to read the directions so you can “toggle” the box to put our EHS ID #10701969 in it. Thanks

  12. EHS CHEERLEADERS EHS Cheerleaders will be selling $12.00 T-shirts for American Heart Association through December 7th. Shirts will be on sale during lunch. Shirts can be worn, untucked with sweat pants, to school on December 7th.

  13. EHS CHEERLEADERS Wear your shirt to the EHS vs. Central Hardin basketball game on December 7th. We will have a “white out” theme for that game. We are in competition with Central Hardin to see which school has the most that night in the gym. The class with the most shirts will earn reward time in the gym at a later date. There will be a board in the Commons area to track the number of shirts sold for each class.

  14. EHS BASKETBALL Tuesday, December 4, 2012 EHS Panthers at Bowling Green – 8:00 p.m. Friday, December 7, 2012 EHS Panthers vs. Central Hardin – home at 7:30 p.m. Wear your shirt!

  15. EHS BASKETBALL Thursday, December 6, 2012 EHS Lady Panthers vs. Nelson County at home – 8:00 p.m. Saturday, December 8, 2012 EHS Lady Panthers at Bullitt Central – 7:30 p.m.

  16. EHS Alumni EHS 2005 Alumni Erin Johnson’s 14-month old daughter, Brooklyn, has neuroblastoma, a form of cancer. A fundraiser will be held at Mr. Gatti’s on Thursday, December 6th. Please help Brooklyn in her fight against cancer.
