The Packaging Industry today • PDF is widely used for proofing in the packaging industry (soft-proofing) • More then 90 % of the 1st proofs are delivered as PDF • PDF can be saved natively out of almost every ‘standard’ layout or design application • Adobe Illustrator, Indesign, QuarkXpress, and others • ArtPro • PDF is now what DCS2 or PostScript was some years ago: • The ultimate exchangeable file format in the Graphic Arts industry
