MARRIAGE AND DEATH RITESطقوس الزواج والموت • Marriage is the foundation of society and family life. • It is critical that each spouse is of the same faith • Shiites believe that after death their soul either goes to “Garden of Bliss” (paradise) or burns in hell for eternity. • This is determined by the trials and tests that they endured their entire life. • Cremation is forbidden • In the “Garden of Bliss” all their desires will not only be met but exceeded. www.alshia.com
