  2. Frooge - Questions • To ask or form questions in PD, two methods can be used: • 1. Inverted Word Order. • 2. Use of a Question Word.

  3. Inverted Word Order • In a normal sentence in PD, we use the following equation: • Subject – Verb – Other Stuff. • Ichkaaf en Buch. • To turn that sentence into a question, without adding anything new, we use inverted word order: • Verb – Subject – Other Stuff? • Kaafich en Buch?

  4. Froogewadde – Question Words • Questions can also be formed by adding a Question Word to the beginning of a question. • When doing this, the word order of the question becomes: • Question Word – Verb – Subject – Other Stuff.

  5. Froogewadde – Question Words • Wie– how / what • Wieschpotisses? / Wiebischt du? • Wu – where • Wuwuhnscht du? • Was – what • Wasiss sell? • Wer– who • Weriss sell? • Wieviel– how much • Wievielissdrei un fimf?

  6. Iewing - Practice • Turn the following sentences into questions! • Der Bu drinkt en Glass Millich. • Drinkt der Bu en Glass Millich? • Die Susan kummt um dreiUhr. • Kummt die Susan um dreiUhr? • Mir sin daheem. • Sin mirdaheem? • Du bischtdem John seiSoh. • Bischt du dem John seiSoh?

  7. Iewing - Practice • This time use Question Words! • Der Bu drinkt en Glass Millich. • Was drinkt der Bu? • Die Susan kummt um dreiUhr. • Wannkummt die Susan? • Mir sin daheem. • Wu sin mir? • Du bischtdem John seiSoh. • Werbischt du?
