  4. Each year all the sophomores in the state of Kentucky are given an ON-DEMAND assessment. • This test consists of 2 writing prompts and everything you need to proficiently address the subject is found in the PROMPT! • OK, so what do we do first???

  10. Prompt Let’s Practice… Write this on your paper. • Situation: • It is well known that smoking is harmful. Because of this, politicians in our country are debating the possibility of outlawing the growing of tobacco. Think of how this would affect your community. • Writing task: • You are to write a news article for the local newspaper to support or oppose the practice of growing tobacco in Kentucky.

Often, young people like to eat junk foods and they do not eat healthy fruits and vegetables. Write a speech to the 9th grade class to persuade them that a balanced diet is important in staying healthy.
