  1. Health Tests That Every Woman Should Have! Good health comes from eating healthy, having your meals on time, staying positive, and exercising regularly. There is one more addition to this that applies to good health in today’s date. This relates to getting tests done on time. Why is this important? It is a safety measure for every single individual so that the fitness levels are in check. Usually, people only get their blood tests done when they fall ill or when the doctor advises them. However, it is important to stay disciplined in terms of getting tests done. Irrespective of one’s age, here are a few medical tests that every woman should get. Bone-Mineral Density Test: This test checks whether or not you are at a risk for osteoporosis. As women age, there may be deficiency of calcium or Vitamin D which results into bones becoming weak.

  2. Clinical Exam and Mammography: It is important for every woman to get her breast physically examined by a doctor, beginning from age 20. By the age of 40, mammography of breasts is recommended once in a year. The scheduling of the test should be done after the period. Eye Test: In order to protect your eyes from vision changes, glaucoma or cataract, a comprehensive eye exam should be performed. These are mostly treatable if diagnosed at an early age. Heart Test: The most common killer when it comes to women is heart disease. Most of the women who die due to this disease show no previous symptoms of the same. Therefore, a heart health test is mandatory. It is essential in order to detect colorectal cancer. This disease is curable to a large extent if detected early. In case any of the parent or siblings, it becomes even more compulsory to get it done. Pap smear: This helps detect the risk of cervical cancer. If your paps have shown normal in a sequence with a negative HPV test, i.e. human-papillomavirus, it is essential to get the test every other year. The ThinPrep Pap Test is more advisable. Mole Screening: After breast cancer, Melanoma is the second common form of cancer of women in their 30s. If this is detected at an early stage, it is almost 100 per cent curable. The other important tests include Lipid Profile, Diabetes, Thyroid, Audiogram, and dental check. Biochemical test can be performed at a number of diagnostic centres in India such as SRL Laboratories, Apollo Diagnostic, Dr. Lal Path Labs and many more.
