  3. The LINk will: • Cover Wokingham borough • Look at health and social care • Made up individual volunteers and groups • Be independent of council and NHS • Supported by a “host”

  4. What can the LINk do? Ask public what they think Visit services Monitor services Respond to consultations

  5. What can the LINk do? Ask for information and get a reply Make reports and get reply Refer matters to OSC Annual report to Parliament

  7. Development Group Individuals PPI Forums Community-wide organisations Partnership Boards FSO Wokingham Borough Council NHS Trusts

  8. Timetable • Patient Forums cease 31st March 2008 • LINKs established from 1st April 2008 • Transitional period 1st April 2008 to 30th September 2008

  9. How can you play a part? • WAAG on Development Group • WAAG on LINk Core Group? • Become active LINk members • Host to recruit members • Dip in and out of LINk activities • As per your interests and time commitment
