Attack & Release Blending • Good blend is the result of vowel uniformity • Will retain one’s individuality or vocal identity • Involve lips, tongues, & jaws; ears to hear interacting with other voices • No individual voices will dominate a section’s sound or “stick out” • Will have 4 clearly defined sectional sounds, vs a conglomerate of whatever number of voices • Eliminate vocal force and strong vibrato
