  1. My Kitchen Safety: Tips and Precautions

  2. Tips and Precautions LPG is effective, safe and reliable, making the Industrial gas manufacturers choose LPG the suitable gas for cooking. Cooking is fun and cool. But when it comes to safety, cooking can turn the tables. Here’s an indicative list of tips to follow in your kitchen.

  3. 1. Things to consider when buying LPG cylinder Always buy from the top gas company. Look for the company seal and the cap. If the seal is broken, avoid the LPG delivered. Check for the expiry date on the inner side of the cylinder. If the cylinder has expired, do not accept the cylinder. If you are not aware of the usage of LPG, ask your delivery person to demonstrate.

  4. Things to consider when cooking with your LPG • Make sure you cook in a ventilated room. • Never forget to switch off your cylinder knob when not used. • Bat an eye on the vessel while you cook. The overflow from the gas can turn off the fire resulting in gas leakage. • Pressure cookers can save your time and energy. • Always close the lid while cooking.

  5. If you smell gas • Open all your windows and doors. • Don’t switch on any electrical appliance. • Turn off the regulator knob as well as the cylinder knob. • Avoid using matchsticks to detect the gas leakage. • If the smell persists, call your service provider to seek help.

  6. Things to consider for maintenance • Always place the cylinder in upright position. • Never keep LPG cylinder below the ground level. • Don’t tamper the cylinder. • Don’t ignite any flammables to detect the leakage. • If not in use, turn off the knob and close the safety cap. • Make sure the gas appliances are serviced periodically. If anything goes wrong, contact your service provider to fix it.

  7. LPG helps in reducing the carbon footprint and chosen as the best alternative for the Chlorofluorocarbon (CFCs), the major gas responsible for ozone depletion. • For the same reason, LPG is used as the aerosol propellant Gases. It is also used in agriculture, chemicals, healthcare, and cutting welding supplies.

  8. If handled right, everything goes right. From life-saving medical gas suppliers to domestic cooking, people rely on LPG and is considered as the safest among other gases and indeed in cooking, too.
