    12. Needed materials: pencil & post-it paper Ask each student to write his/her name at the top of the paper. Ask students to write school subjects on the paper: English, Math, History, Science, Social Studies, Art, Music, etc. Ask students to draw a star beside each subject area in which they feel confident . Now ask students to circle each subject area in which they feel unsure. Ask students to post their papers on the wall. This is an opportunity to note that everyone has a subject area that they do not excel in as well as areas in which they do not feel confident. Now ask students to make note of who is strong in an area where they are not. This could be a go-to person when working in study groups. (Maybe a buddy or mentoring program.)
