Burger King is the American-based chain of fast food restaurant serving hamburgers. The company headquartered in Miami-Dade County, Florida. The company was launched in 1953 and named as &quot;Insta-Burger King.&quot; It ran into financial crisis in 1954. The then Miami-based franchisees, David Edgerton and James McLamore, bought the company and renamed it as &quot;BurgerKing.&quot; They are first to have the dining rooms facility. A year later, the proprietor expanded the business at the national level from their five restaurants. In 1967, Pillsbury bought the Company. In the United States, it ranked third as the fast food chain with a total of 275 restaurants.
