  1. MYTH NO. 1 “Stem cell therapy is painful.” Nope. It is not even the slightest bit painful. You’ll simply feel two tiny pricks, the first when stem cells are being procured from your body (in the case of autologous stem cell therapy) and the second when these cultured stem cells are injected back into your body.

  2. MYTH NO. 2 “Stem cells can cure all diseases.” Like any other treatment, stem cell therapy should not be regarded as a cure. It is a form of treatment which helps in reducing the symptoms, preventing further complications and improving the quality of life of patients. On the next slide, you’ll find a list of the type of diseases stem cells can help manage.

  3. Types of diseases stem cell therapy can help manage • Inflammatory conditions • Orthopedic conditions • Trauma-induced conditions • Autoimmune diseases • Neurological disorders • Metabolic disorders • Hematopoietic diseases • Cardiovascular illnesses • Gastrointestinal disorders • Kidney disorders • Lung disease • Liver disorders • Cancers • Skin disorders • Ocular disorders

  4. MYTH NO. 3 “Stem cells are unethically sourced.” Stem cells are ALWAYS sourced from consenting adults.

  5. MYTH NO. 4 “Embryonic stem cells are derived by destroying life.” This myth has resulted in a huge derailment in stem cell research. ESCs DO NOT come from aborted or terminated fetuses. They are derived from ‘unneeded embryos’ that are created during IVF procedures. These unneeded embryos are younger than 14 days.

  6. MYTH NO. 5 “Stem cell therapy is expensive.” At Plexus, we offer customized stem cell therapy plans that fit within your budget.

  7. MYTH NO. 6 “Stem cells cannot cross the blood-brain barrier.” Stem cells are smaller than white blood cells and can easily pass through the blood-brain barrier when injected through IV.

  8. Plexus Neuro and Stem Cell Research Center Plexus provides customized stem cell therapy plans to manage a variety of neurological and degenerative conditions. We offer mesenchymal stem cell and cord blood cell transplantation. Stem cell therapy at Plexus is a risk-free, non-surgical procedure with the following benefits: • No immobilization • No surgery • Nerve protection and tissue regeneration • Slowing down rate of progression • Better pain management • Immune system modulation • Reduced inflammation • Improved quality of life
