  1. Study Hall: Work quietly at your seat (homework, study, draw, read) NO TALKING. NO EXCEPTIONS. SIT IN ASSIGNED SEATS.

  2. Review for your quiz – No talking. No exceptions.

  3. Properties of Matter • Please clear off your desk except for a pencil • When you receive your quiz, you may begin (25 minute time limit) No talking, No exceptions (if I see you talking, I’m assuming you are cheating)

  4. Directions All Questions = Circle either a, b, c, d dark When you finish, turn your quiz over and begin your crossword

  5. Correction Question 7 = Typo with the word ‘gold planner’ Should read ‘gold panner’

  6. Finished the Crossword? • Draw a poster illustrating the physical and chemical properties of matter on the back (info in your notebook in a table you created)

  7. Unit Test: Friday, October 4! Unit Test will include 32 multiple choice questions: • Scientific Processes (8 questions) • Matter (8 questions) • States of Matter (8 questions) • Properties of Matter (8 questions) • And 3 short answer essay questions

Mastery Tracking Sheet • You will receive your tracking sheet and all the quizzes you returned to me • review all quizzes and your mastery scores • determine the 1 concept you need to review the most prior to our unit test on Friday, October 4th This should be the quiz you scored the lowest on; if more than 1 quiz is low, pick the one you are still most confused about!

GROUPS FOR REVIEW ACTIVITIES • Wednesday, October 2nd, 2013: • You will be placed in various groups based on the information on your slip of paper • Scientific Processes Group(s) • Matter Group(s) (6.P.2.1) • States of Matter Group(s) (6.P.2.2) • Properties of Matter Group(s) (6.P.2.3) Students who scored well in all areas will lead groups and assist students as they create their poster

  18. REVIEW ACTIVITIES – Wednesday Oct.2nd • In your groups, you will be creating a poster • Each group will be provided with a poster rubric (see handout)

  21. Unit TestFriday, Oct. 4th • You will have the entire block to complete your test • D.E.A.R. – Drop Everything and Read • after you complete your test, you will read quietly at your desk You must bring something to read or work on!
