Samarbeidsprosjekt mellom Nha Trang University og Norges fiskerihøgskole, Universitetet i Tromsø • Finansiert av Norad gjennom SIU - Senter for internasjonalisering av høyere utdannelse - forvaltningsorgan under Kunnskapsdepartementet • Første opptak høsten 2007 • Åpent for 20 studenter per kull fra hhv Vietnam, Kina, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Laos og Kambodsja • Første uteksaminering juni 2009

Samarbeidet bygger på en allerede eksisterende avtale mellom partene: ”Improving Training and Research Capacity of the University of Fisheries, Vietnam” (I dag Nha Trang University) (2003-2007-2011) Finansiert av Norad og den Vietnamesiske regjering, implementert utdanningsdepartementet i Vietnam og NTU, med assistanse fra UiT, UiB og NTNU Totalbudsjett ca 17 mill NOK for 2009-2011 Fem komponenter: Økonomi (NFH) Akvakultur (UiB & NTNU) Institusjonell kapasitet (NTU/NFH) Bioteknologi og miljø (NTNU) Prosjektstyring (NFH)
