  2. 2. The Richat Structure or “ Eye of the Sahara” This emotional sight can be seen in Mauritania, at the south-western tip of the Sahara desert. This land conformation is so large, with a periphery of 30 country miles, that it can in fact be seen from external space. The desert is the product of the Andes rain- shadow. The trade winds which move east along South America begin to lose all humidity when they hit the steep pitches of the Andes Mountains. 4. 4. The Naica Mine, Cave of Chargers, Mexico These grottoes, plant in a mine in Chihuahua Mexico, have some of the biggest chargers ever discovered and are a spectacular sight. Made of Gypsum, the chargers were allowed to grow disencumbered and hence are worth a citation among the world’stop-most geological oddities. By: alex ariana
