  1. Avoid Facebook Phishing In the last few months, I've noticed an increase in hacking attempts on Facebook accounts. Let's take a look at the reasons why Facebook accounts are becoming so popular with hackers. pirater un compte facebook Why is Facebook account hacked Facebook has more than 500 million users and offers such amazing demographic information that advertisers are flocking to it for targeted ads. Affiliate marketers who previously used spam email and blog comments spam to get their message out to the general public have discovered that hijacking Facebook accounts allows them to send their marketing messages to their friends and connections. Because they appear to come from a trusted source (the account holder), these spammy messages are more likely be seen, read, and even clicked on. How are these Facebook accounts being hacked? This is a new delivery method to an old phishing scam. Phishing is when you use your login credentials to a fake Facebook login page, or download malicious software onto your computer. You may receive messages or links that are automatically sent to many of your friends. These messages and links can be used to encourage your friends to view videos or purchase products. The hacker creates a fake Facebook profile, sends hundreds of friend requests, and then waits for them to be accepted. After some have been accepted, the hacker sends out difficult messages via Facebook chat or posts to their Facebook friends' walls. These messages are intended to be an incentive, such as: "Hey, what are you doing in that video (click here how embarrassing This website is experiencing an error and is offering free iPads. Grab your chance to win an iPad now (click here )..."). These links will take you to a page that looks like a Facebook login screen. User assumes they have been logged out, which can sometimes happen, and then he/she re-enters their Facebook username/password. They don't know that the page was not owned by Facebook. Instead, they gave their usernames and passwords to a hacker. Once they have the username and password to the Facebook account, the hacker logs in, changes the password, and starts sending advertisements for affiliate programs. Because people don't know, this process continues to spread.
