  1. How to Make A Great Hip Hop Song It is likely that hip-hop has been the most influential music style since a young man stepped on Elvis’s blue suede shoes. Hip-hop began as a voice of African-American and Latin communities in America. It quickly spread and became the soundtrack of the 1980's, 1990's, and the new millennium. Its popularity and penetration increases every year, from films to commercials, bars to charts, and even to movies. This section will cover the basics of hip hop production and 20 essential tips for making the best hip- hop songs. Top 10 USA Billboard BEATS AND LOOPS Hip-hop is all about the beats, so get inspired! All hip-hop is built on beats. No matter what your taste is, whether you like the cheeky Eminem one-two or the more serious Dj Premier productions, it's important that your beat stands out from the rest. Chris Rock, a comedian from the US, said that "If the beat is alright they'll dance all evening." We've seen that hip-hop beats began as beats from records, beatboxes, and sampling drum machines. It is therefore easy for hip hop produced on a computer, to sound lifeless. This can be fixed by live playing or clever quantization. It is important to keep the music simple. Once you have a basic groove, add different percussive sounds before adding more. Listening to professional hip-hop productions will show that it is rare for two percussive elements at once - except when they are a layered shaker and clap, in which case they will alternate over a few bars and then one or the other. It's almost like the various percussive elements take turns, as you might hear a shaker playing for only a portion of a looped bar. This is not a coincidence as hip-hop culture revolves around this type of connection. Hip-hop, regardless of whether it is DJs, MCs, or breakdancers are all about this kind of interaction. This transference can be seen in every production element, including beats. STEP BY STEP to the drums Laying a hi-hat is the first thing I do when I'm working on beats. Usually, I lay down an eighth-note pattern. Then I go back to make any necessary changes after I've laid the rest of the parts. 2-Next is the kick, snare and bass. Because I know I will be using a drum loop underneath, I keep them simple. To reinforce the drum loop, I add kicks and snares. Both the kick and snare sound are sounds I reuse on many tracks. 3-Next, I will add a sampled kick to the snare and kick to enhance the stock kick sound. This will make the beat sound thicker and more grimy. The tail end of the beat is left with a little bit of air. This acts as'sonic glue' and gives the beat a more sampled sound.

  2. 4-The basic beat is complete. I can now send it into the arrange screen. Later on, I will use this pattern to create other sections of the song. I'll add snare fills, rolls, and so forth. STEP BY STEP the loop 1-When I use sampled breaks, it is important to ensure they are royalty-free, original, or so obscure that they will not be recognized. This way, I don't have to worry about sample clearance. I love busy drums, so I will often choose a two-bar drum beat.
