Blood Alcohol Count (BAC) • Of all accidents 20% are caused by someone under the influence. • In all 50 states the legal limit for drunk driving is blood alcohol concentration of .08 • Everybody is different and alcohol affects each person differently. • BAC OF MALES/ FEMALES Male 160 pounds, 5 drinks(12 oz each) in 3 hours BAC= .76 FEMALE 140 pounds, 4 drinks(12 oz each) in 3 hours BAC = .08

Consequences of Drunk Driving • When you are arrested for DUI in Pennsylvania, you are automatically facing two cases, one in the courts and one in the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation. • Misdemeanor charge • Up to 6 months of probation • Fines of up to $300 ___________________________________________ • Required attendance at Alcohol Highway Safety School • Possible treatment for alcoholism • Up to 6 months in jail (no minimum jail time required) http://www.duiconsequences.com/state-info/pennsylvania-dui-laws.html

Underage Drunk Driving • Zero Tolerance Laws • A zero tolerance law makes it illegal for anybody under the age of 21 to drive with any measurable amount of alcohol in their blood. • Even after one drink, minors will be punished for violating this law regardless of whether they are physically impaired during driving or not. http://zerotolerancelaws.com/
