  2. The Sights of London

  3. As we know London is the capital of Great Britain. It is situated on the river Thames. Thames

  4. It is an ancient city. It appeared at the place where Roman invaders decided to build a bridge over the Thames

  5. There are 4 parts in London: West End, East End, the City, Westminster. The Tower of London is situated in the City Parts of London

  6. It is one of the most ancient buildings in London. It is situated on the bank of the Thames. It was founded in the 11th century by William the Conqueror. For many centuries it has been a fortress, a palace, a prison and a royal treasury. It is now a museum of arms and armour.

  8. Sights London shows examples of buildings that expresses all the different areas of its history. Every year many visitors come to London, because there are places worth seeing

  9. It is an important meeting point. At its heart is a bronze fountain topped by a figure of a winged archer, known as Eros, the pagan god of love Piccadilly Circus

  10. The Houses of Parliament Houses of Parliament were built in neo-Gothic style between 1837 and 1860. It is situated in the center of London.

  11. Big Ben is a name of the huge 13 ½ ton bell that strikes the hours. The minute hands on each of the four dials are as high as a double-decker bus Big Ben

  13. Westminster Abbey It is a gothic building, which is situated opposite the Houses of Parliament. It is a great work of many people of different centuries. Abbey is simply wonderful with its Chapel of Henry VII. The Chapel is made of stone and glass. The magnificent tombstones of kings and queens are made of gold and precious stones. The greatest writers such as Geoffrey Chaucer, Charles Dickens, Thomas Hardy, Rudyard Kipling, William Shakespeare, Walter Scott, George Byron are buried there

  14. Galleries and Museums There are a lot of different galleries and museums in London. All of them are worth visiting. They are , for example, Madame Tussaud Museum, Albert & Victoria Museum, Museum of Moving Museum (MOMI), the National Gallery, etc. Victoria & Albert Museum

  15. London plays an important role for the country. Every year many visitors come to London, because there are places worth seeing. Historic buildings, museums, parks, galleries, streets are really attractive.
