  2. On my presentation I want to talk about Organ trade/trafficking. We all are aware of human trafficking problems: - sexual exploitation;  - slavery; - human trafficking for labor purposes;

  3. However people often forget one important form of human trafficking – organ trade. Organ trafficking is the trade involving inner human organs (heart, liver, kidneys, etc.) for organ transplantation.

  4. The main problem on this subject is that data on the exact scale of the organ market is really difficult to obtain.

  5. Commercial trade in human organs is illegal in all countries except Iran, however there were many attempts to legalize this practice, in China, India, Iran, Philippines…  

  6. brief history of illegal organ trade • analyze the current situation of this problem,  • what different countries and authors think about it.

  7. academic perspectives • on a criminal/justice perspective we think it’s important to understand why people donate their organs.

  8. It’s also important to discuss the medical ethics issues very often connected with this subject.
