  1. JMD Connector Series Purpose: To introduce the JMD board-to-board connector series

  2. JMD Connector Problem: Many applications require a high density, surface mount board-to-board connector. Script: The board-to-board JMD series connector, has a current rating of 0.5A AC/DC with a voltage rating of 50V AC/DC. The JMD series is molded in a 94V0 Polyamide with an operating temperature range of -25ºC to +85º C. This connector is supplied on embossed tape for use with automatic placement equipment. The cantilever type contacts results in a very smooth mating between plug and receptacle.

  3. JMD Connector Plug SCRIPT: The contacts of the JMD connector plug are gold-plated, phosphor bronze. The plug is available from 20 to 80 (in 10 position increments) and 100 circuits, and both top and side entry mounting configurations are available. The top-entry plug is offered in stack heights of 4.5 mm, 5.0mm and 6.0mm. The side-entry plug has a PCB mounted height of 5.6mm for applications that require a low-profile connection. The JMD connector plug is non-polarized (pin 1 defined by user) offering the user flexibility in their design. Tin-plated, copper undercoated brass solder tabs are provided for added strength and stabilization. The plug is box-shaped with guide ribs on both ends to prevent distortion when mated to the receptacle connector.

  4. JMD ConnectorBoard-to-board Receptacles Script: The mating receptacle contacts are gold-plated, phosphor bronze with tin-plated, copper-undercoated brass solder tabs for added strength and stability. The receptacles will mate with either the top-entry (for stacking applications) or side-entry (for perpendicular applications) plugs for any number of applications that require a high-density, low-profile, low current board-to-board connection.

  5. The JMD Connector series summary Script: • Compact size and pitch • RoHS compliant • Available from 20 to 80 (every 10 positions) and 100 circuits • The design of the cantilever type contacts results in a very smooth mating between plug and receptacle • This connector is packaged using embossed tape for use with automatic placement equipment • Ideal for applications that require a high density. low current board-to-board connector
