  2. Monday • alvin york is an famous american war heroes • on december 13, 1887, alvin was born in a two-room log cabin near pall mall, tennessee

  3. Tuesday • alvin york had more medals than any american soldier in world war I • during world war I, he kill 25 germans and captured 132 prisoners almost single handedly

  4. Wednesday • alvin yorks family were very poor and he had to drop out of school to work on the family farm • whin alvins father died, he help his mother raise his ten brothers and sisters

  5. Thursday • During world war II, he helped the Tennessee State Guard. • When world war II started, he tried to join the army, but couldnt because he was thought too be two old

  6. Friday • Alvin York died in 1964 at the veterans hospital in nashvilletennessee • did you know that he founded the alivn c york institute in jamestowntennessee
