Questions • At least 10+ years into standardized VoIP • What are the deployment challenges? • When can we turn off the last 5ESS? • Services today: caller ID and call forwarding • major advance: selectable voice mail messages (iPhone) • PSTNbis, PSTN 2.0 or “purple telephony” or invisible voice? • Almost no third-party (or user)-created services • except maybe Skype “API”
