GE CMS Prototype • Full size detector ready for installation in CMS • 3840 Readout channels. • Based on NS2 Technology. • Gaps between the detector electrodes 3/1/2/1mm • All services integrated and compatible with the CMS infrastructure. • Thanks to NS2 method the detector can be open and elements can be changed.   8. GE CMS Prototype - Power Consumption • VFAT FEB power =18W • HV Divider = 4W • dc/dc converters - 80% efficiency • GBT = 2.25W • Total Power for the detector is 34W CMS GEM Upgrade Workshop III

  18. GE Integrated Readout Board • For the moment the full size readout board is foreseen to be 7 layers providing : • Strips and connection to the FEB • Power to the FEBs • Ground connection • LVDS signal lines from FEB to the optical transceiver GBT CMS GEM Upgrade Workshop III
