Go For the GOLD Strategies • Western 14.3% to 19% • Atlanta Tech, DeKalb Tech are receiving funds for staff to contact all silver and bronze certificate holders and encourage use of GAP training and Be Work Ready Incentive • September Report format shows Certificates Improved from June 1, 2010 – Fulton shows 7 silver moved to GOLD, 3 Bronze moved to Silver, 1 Gold moved to Platinum (staff on board since July) • September Report for DeKalb shows 4 moved from Silver to Gold –(staff on board for 1 month)

Problem: Lack of Private Sector/Unemployed Certificates • Strategy : • Chattahoochee Tech developed and shared notice to be sent to business contacts offering on-site training for employees in leadership skills, etc. if they would assess current workers • Chattahoochee response from employers that they would like “recognition” • Fulton declaring November as Work Ready month with employer activities planned

Other Issues: • Clayton County without an assigned proctor several months • Clayton County Team Leader took job in Forsyth –leadership in question • High Number of Unemployed certificates needed in Clayton • Fulton – No involvement from the City of Atlanta in Work Ready • High number of Public Sector certificates needed in Fulton (Ed Graham has volunteered to assist in discussions with Fire/Police Departments using Athens/Clarke example)

  13. 2010 enrollment projected at over 700 students Tips’ Guide now on GDOE website Clayton added third section to accommodate 80 students High School program at Creekside (Fulton) replaced by Therrell (APS) Atlanta Tech adding TCC in January 2010 Finalizing revisions of second biotech pathway course with GDOE for science credit Career Pathways Update
