  1. “Facebook's latest privacy changes put to a vote”

  2. Users have one week to vote on the proposed privacy changes to Facebook's policy, including the ability of users to vote on future privacy changes. Voting opened on Monday, and users have until Monday, December 10, at noon PST to make their opinions heard. Facebook has put up a custom voting app powered by a third-party company for this vote, and the results will be tallied by an independent auditor. In addition to a proposed end to public voting on these types of issues, Facebook wanted to change to how users control who can send them messages.

  3. In Other News Israel Keyes committed suicide while in custody on murder charges, officials say. He was charged in the death of 18-year-old Samantha Koenig, an Alaskan barista. He is said to have confessed to multiple murders and did not know any of his victims. NATO foreign ministers have approved Turkey's request for Patriot missiles to defend its borders, a statement of "solidarity" with its fellow alliance member. "Today NATO agreed to augment Turkey's air defense by deploying Patriot missiles to Turkey. Turkey has asked for NATO's support and we stand with Turkey in the spirit of strong solidarity," said NATO Secretary-General Anders Fogh Rasmussen. "To Turkish people we say, we are determined to defend you and your territory. To anyone who would want to attack Turkey, we say, don't even think about it. "
