  2. Beginning of Computers • The computer process begin in 1969 with Arpanet • It connected 4 western universities • Allowed researchers to use mainframes for any of the networked institutions

  3. Computer History • Do you have any idea where, who , or what created the computer system that we use today!! • We will talk about the early computational devices, the early computers, inventor/developers, Internet, and the Generation of computers • Summary of the whole presentation

  4. Early Computational Devices • Some would be ARAPANET, Abacus, and Punched Cards • ARAPANET was the 1st operational packet switching network • Punched cards contains digital information

  5. The Internet • The very First Browser was Mosiac

  6. Early Computers • Here’s some early computer that were created • ENIAC, Mark1, EDVAC, UNIVAC, the 1st microcomputer, Microsoft, and Apple

  7. The Inventors/Developers • Steven Jobs and Steven Wozniak created Apple • Bill gates created Microsoft • Tim Berners-Lee created “www” • Marc Andresson created Netscape • Charles Babbage created mechanical computing machine • Department of Defense used the Internet 1st • Here are some more inventors/developers

  8. Early Computers Cont. • ENIAC was the 1st computer to be built • Mark1 was the 1st stored-program computer • EDSAC was a British computer

Generation of Computers • First Generation of computers • It was Made of vacuum tubes • Second Generation of computers • It was made of transistors • Third Generation of computers • It was made of integrated circuits • Fourth Generation of computers • It was made of millions of transistors on one chip • Fifth Generation of computers • It was made for voice recognition

  10. Inventors/Developers • Herman Hollerith created the punch card device • Blaine Pascal created a digital calculator • John Von Neuman made major contributions to a vast number of fields • Eckert and Mauchly were founders of the computer corporation • Paul Allen was the founder of Microsoft

  11. Early Computers Cont. • EDVAC was one of the earliest electronic computer • UNIVAC was the 1st commercial computer created in the U.S. • The very first microcomputer was the Altair • The formation of Microsoft was created by Bill Gates • The formation of Apple began April 1, 1976

  12. Computer History • I’ve talked plenty over the early computational devices, early computers, inventors/developers, and Internet • The presentation should give you some fun facts to tell people!
