Job Description • Spray or release chemical solutions or toxic gases and set traps to kill pests and vermin such as mice, termites, roaches, that infest buildings and surroundings areas. • Clean and remove blockages from infested areas. • Dig up or burn weeds. • Cut or bore openings in buildings or surroundings.

  3. Annual pay • Annual wage range $24,290-$36,750 • Weekly pay $24,290 ÷ 52=$ 467.12 • Hourly pay $467.12 ÷ 40=$11.68 • Overtime: Double time $11.68 x 46=$537.28

  4. Tasks Or educational training • Measure area dimensions requiring treatment, using rule, calculate fumigant requirements, and estimate cost for service. • Position and fasten edges of tarpaulins over building and tape vents to ensure air-tight environment and check for leaks. • Post warning signs and lock building doors to secure area to be fumigated.

  5. Interests • Prefer to work with tools and objects rather than people and words. Pest control workers must have basic math skills and chemistry and writing. • Enjoys mechanical activities • enjoy mechanical activities • like work that requires physical strength • Typical jobs in crafts: auto technician, cook, carpenter, truck driver, farmer, electrician, aircraft mechanic
