Use and standards of exposure of chemicals hazardous to health. • Comply to permissible exposure limit using respirator. • Assessment of risk to health (Review and keep the records). • Action to control exposure. • Control measures such as elimination, substitution, isolation, modification • or use engineering control. • Use of approved PPE. • Engineering control equipment such chemical shower should inspected, • maintained and operated at all times and records available. • Design , construction and commissioning of local exhaust ventilation • equipment as approved standard. • Labeling and relabeling. • Information, instruction and training must provided. • Chemical safety data sheet must provided. innovative  entrepreneurial  global

Safety and health officer • The person should qualified by holding diploma, attended course of • training and passed the examination and working at least 10 years. • Registering of SHO valid for 3 years. • Registered as a SHO shall attend any continuous education programme at • least once in a year for the purpose of renewal of registration. • Duty of employer:- • - Provide adequate facilities, training equipment and appropriate • information. • - Continuous education program me. • - Assist in investigation into any accidents. innovative  entrepreneurial  global

Safety and health officer • Duty of SHO:- • - Advise the employer and any person in charge in work place regarding • safety issues. • - Inspect the place of work and assist SHC. • - Investigate any accidents in work place. • - To assist SHC to implement program me in work place. • - To be secretary to SHC. • - To collect, analyze and maintain statistic on any accident or dangerous • occurrences. • - Submit the report to employer. innovative  entrepreneurial  global

Safety and health committee • Membership of committee; a chairman, a secretary, representatives of • employer and employees. • Function:- • - Assist in development of SH rules (Inspection in work place). • - Review the effectiveness of SH programmes. • - Carry out studies on the trends of accidents (Investigation). • - Review the SH policies at work place (Report and recommendation). • At least once in 3 months should have meeting. • Employer to provide suitable place and permit to attend meeting. • Ensure basic knowledge and function of committee provided. • Provide adequate training. innovative  entrepreneurial  global
