  3. Yet to all who received him [Jesus], to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God— (John 1:12) For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith — and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast. (Eph. 2:8-9)

  4. “… continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling, for it is God who works in you to will and to act according to his good purpose. (Phil 2:12-13)

  5. The acts of the sinful nature [flesh] are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; 20 idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions 21 and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God. (Galatians 5:19-21)

  6. Idolatry: worshipping anything that usurps the rightful place of God. Offering worship to created things instead of the Creator. Witchcraft: (Greek: Pharmakeia): Practicing magic arts; sorcery. Employing demonic power to manipulate situations & play god.

Crucify [Kill] the old ways • Choose to walk with Spirit; no more apathy • Ask Jesus to be God over every area of • your life • Make time for prayer & Bible reading • Set reasonable limits on the things you • enjoy, so they don’t take over your life • Pray with authority (Use the Name of • Jesus to resist evil) • Ask for forgiveness if you have loved • something more than God
