  1. Pregnancy Yoga During pregnancy, your body goes through several changes, many of which creates stress on you mentally and physically. A natural way to maintain a healthy mind and body is prenatal Yoga. It is useful as it focuses on asanas for pregnant women, and helping to increase strength and flexibility. It also provides pregnant women techniques to develop proper breathing and relaxation techniques for easier and more comfortable labor. What are the Benefits of Prenatal Yoga? There are many benefits because it's a form of exercise that also speaks to pregnancy wellness. Improved sleep Reduced stress Increased strength, flexibility, and endurance Reduced lower back pain Reduced risk of preterm labor Reduced nausea Lowered risk of intrauterine growth restriction (a medical condition that slows down the baby's growth) Decreased carpal tunnel syndrome Reduced headaches In addition to several of the benefits listed, studies have found there is a relationship between prenatal Yoga as well as the decrease in hypertension-related complications, and improvement of the fetal outcome. Prenatal Yoga and Pregnancy Support While you are pregnant, it's important to construct a strong support system. This support system will typically include family and friends. It can be helpful to expand your support system to add other pregnant mothers. While participating in a course, you are given the opportunity to meet other expecting mothers whom you can discuss your concerns with.

  2. More to the point, meeting other expecting moms offers you the opportunity to talk with someone who is sharing the same concerns and going through pregnancy together. Joining a Prenatal Yoga Class There are multiple factors that are important to take into account when deciding to choose to learn pregnancy or prenatal YogaYoga. The easiest and safest way is to take a class designed for pregnant women. It is important you try to find classes taught by a certified prenatal yoga instructor, since they are knowledgeable about the specific poses to avoid and which ones to focus on. What You Want to Know Beforehand Remember to start slow and moderate your yoga routine to about 30 minutes and never push yourself. Yoga is a way to relax, so there's absolutely no reason to push yourself, which is not safe or healthy for your sake as an expecting mother or for your baby. While there are several benefits to YogaYoga, it can be important to remember that not all YogaYoga is safe for you as a pregnant woman. Some types of Yoga, such as Bikram, and other practices of YogaYoga that call for a hot environment, aren't safe for the expecting mother. Doing those hot forms of Yoga can lead to hyperthermia. Any poses where you have to lie flat on your back or require a whole lot of stretching of any type, are also not recommended for pregnant women. Additionally, women that are in danger of premature labor are not suggested to practice prenatal Yoga. It is always wise and important to talk to your doctor before starting any prenatal yoga routine. https://www.nourishdoc.com/Medical-Condition/Womens-Health-And-Pregnancy/Yoga
