CHAIRMANS CORNER Regarding liquor laws the Board of Directors along with club management have implemented the following policies and procedures. • NO Take away to be sold or leave the premises after 10pm • NO Children under 18 are permitted in the main club lounge or tab areas after 9pm, However are still permitted in the function room and Bistro area when attending relevant functions. • NO Shots, shooters or slammers are permitted. Please enjoy yourselves, our prices are very attractive however, please also act responsibly.  Gordon Lewis OAM, Chairman, Club Bowral I trust that you have all enjoyed the new facilities that your club has to offer. We must not forget the significant bearing for this to come about is the efforts over the past 96 years of staff, directors and Members who have guided the club to the successs it is today. Wingecarribee shire council Mayor Duncan Gair has congratulated the club personally not only its present renovations but also the long standing relationship the club has had with the council in its 96 years.

DM WITH THE GM Hello one and all, Well it’s been a busy past few months with the finishing touchesof the lounge area almost complete and it is quite refreshing to hear all the positive feedback on the changes. The Club’s new bistro and its family affordable prices now provide all members an enjoyable meal  that doesn’t break your budgets but this can only continue with members support. Members are also reminded to come along on Friday Nights with entertainment from all over Sydney providing a pleasant atmosphere for everyone to enjoy. On the bowling front, well done to our lady bowlers on reaching the state play offs, and congratulations to the representative members from the men's bowling club who were part of the STDBA side that defeated ACT.   5. Members Snapshot. Elaine Jones Since moving from North Rocks, in Sydney, to Bowral, 24 years ago, Elaine has been involved with service clubs, View and Rotary International. After serving in several positions on the board, she was appointed to president on the Rotary club of Berrima District, becoming the first woman to be president of a southern highlands Rotary club. Her club honored her with a Paul Harris Fellowship award for service to rotary. Geoff and Elaine have enjoyed many years of Probus Club membership and Elaine has served in several positions, including president. Community involvement includes tulip time committee – Committee driving and Hospital Flowers. Since playing bowls with Bowral ladies for the past 4 years, Elaine has served on the social committee for 2 years, vice-President for 1 year, prior to becoming President of the Bowral ladies Bowling club, her beloved game!! JoKeAnDRiDdle Of ThEwEeK?!?!?!?! Why did the girl blush, when she opened the fridge……..She saw the Salad Dressing..AHHAHAHAHA My life can be measured in hours,,, I serve be being devoured,,, thin I am quick,, fat I am slow,,, wind is my foe. What am I?????
