  1. DIGITAL FIBER SENSOR FX-100 Series Upgrade Information [Upgraded details] 1:Modified dimension 2:Additional programming * Production changes as of December, 2007 November, 2007 SUNX Limited

  2. 1:Modified dimension [Changes] 1-1: The overall shape of the fiber insertion part is extended by 1mm Improved installation stability in fiber attachment FX-AT3 1-2: The letter “P” is added to the front of the fiber insertion part With “P” on the emitter side, now it is possible to distinguish emitter and receiver from the front [Before] [After] P: indication Extended case

  3. [Before] [After] Amplifier’s overall length: 64.5mm65.5mm There is no change in specifications besides the change in dimension.

  4. 1: Additional programming [Additional functions] 2-1: Emission amount setting mode • Added one more level of “setting for reduced intensity” • (total of 3 levels) • Added auto-select function in “setting for reduced intensity”, • depending on the incident light intensity value in the teaching mode 2-2: External input setting mode • Added 2-point teaching • Added threshold value-storing setting • Added incident light intensity test 2-3: Threshold value margin setting mode • Added alert output in external input teaching

  5. 1-1: Emission amount setting mode • Added one more level of “setting for reduced intensity” (total of 3 levels) • Added auto-select function in “setting for reduced intensity”, • depending on the incident light intensity value in the teaching mode New: Addition New: Addition • * Auto-setting • Effective when Limit teaching or External limit teaching is in use • Incident light intensity is operated upon the following conditions: - In normal state, 3,800[digit] or more:Emitted light is reduced - In reduced intensity state, 1,000[digit] or less: Reduced intensity is released; level is increased Text from instruction manual

  6. 2-2: External input setting mode • Added 2-point teaching • Added threshold value-storing setting • Added incident light intensity test New: Addition Text from instruction manual External 2-point teaching mode added (Note 1) Incident light intensity test mode added (Note 2) Generally at external teaching, the added “threshold value-storing setting mode” enables selection of whether to memorize the threshold value or not. * Menu will be displayed only when setting the teaching mode * Before, threshold value in external teaching could not be memorized.

  7. Note 1: 2-point teaching New: Addition Notes: 1) Output may turn ON/OFF when emission is halted or is released depending on setting of threshold value. 2) Output operation will be undetermined only during the response time. If output signal is received by a PLC or such, set the timer to 20ms amplifier response time or greater. 3) After teaching is complete, output operation will be undetermined only during the response time. If the output signal is received by a PLC or such, set the timer to the amplifier response time or greater. The threshold value will be set based on the incident light intensity at the instant when teaching is verified. 4) Pass the sensing object through once during the time when the external input signal is entered. 5) After teaching is complete, output operation will be undetermined only during the response time. If the output signal is received by a PLC or such, set the timer to the amplifier response time or greater.

  8. 1. Input signal through external input line 2. Incident light intensity is within ±10% of the threshold value Incident light intensity 10% Threshold value 10% 3. Pulse signal output is generated Note 2: Incident light intensity test Incident light intensity test: During external input, if the difference between threshold value and incident light intensity is less than half of the shift amount, pulse output (pulse frequency: 100ms) will be generated. E.g. External input setting: test, shift amount: 20% To be used if you would like to check the light intensity margin regularly Due to the use of external input line, Checks can be done by remote operation. If pulse signal output is generated from the sensor which indicates a low light intensity margin, please perform maintenance.

  9. 2-3: Threshold value margin setting Alert output in external input teaching is added New: Addition Text from instruction manual When conducting limit teaching or 2-point teaching by external input, if the standard incident light intensity and the threshold value after teaching are more than 200% , or less than half of the shift amount, pulse output (pulse frequency: 100ms) will be generated. * Operable only when setting the limit teaching [+] [-] or 2-point teaching in external input setting mode.
