  1. There are many definitions for this term, but I like to think of it as the following: “When people of different cultures interact.” Multiculturalism

  2. Language communication. Attire and/or native origin. Belief systems. Body language. Interaction

  3. Accents require everyone involved to be good listeners. Language skills can be a very big multicultural road block. Misinterpretation leads to misunderstanding. It is very difficult to understand or have patience with someone who stutters. Language Communication

  4. “Funny clothing” identifies someone as foreign, non-compliant. Skin color may indicate origin or descent. Based on an individuals pre-conceived views, this could skew the perception of an individual. Attire and/or native origin

  5. Muslim, Catholic or Jew; beliefs make up the way we live our lives. Understanding other beliefs will create a better understanding of our own. Tolerance has to be employed with understanding, but it must be understood that it is required by all people in order to function. Belief system

  6. If people who talked different, looked different or had different beliefs never interacted there would not be multiculturalism, but what a sad place this would be. Everyone who has interacted with someone from a different culture expands their life experience. Conclusion
