  2. What is SEE? • SEE is a 5-year program developed by Hallberg Engineering in Minnesota. • SEE follows a systematic approach to forming a culture of conservation in your school districts.

  4. Case studies • Review a School District Profile. • Give us an overview of your district. • Has their Energy Star rating changed? • How much money has the district saved?

  5. How does it work? • Your district will get: • An Energy Efficiency Coordinator (EEC) • A comprehensive plan to run the program • Resources to raise awareness and build support • State-of-the-art Utility Tracking

  8. Resources Each school gets a set of posters and other eye-catching awareness materials.

  9. Resources Each year has a different themeand focus with fresh, newoutreach materials.

  10. Utility tracking • 1-year baseline collected • Monthly tracking of heat, electric, and water bills • Quarterly reports andresults meetings • A chance at Energy Starrecognition

  11. Who’s joined? RSU #57, started on December 1st • Waterboro and surrounding towns • 7 schools: HS, MS, 5 elementary MSAD #60, starting on January 1st • North Berwick and surrounding towns • 6 schools: HS, MS, 4 elementary

  12. Next steps • Still have $14,000 in start-up funds • Efficiency Maine funding next year? • Other funding sources? • Building a list of interested schools to make a case for additional funding.
