  4. Response to the summary of the workshop 1. It is noted that the plan for QA is now implemented as one of the condition when the society proposed to open new Higher Education Institution 2. Midwifery and nursing study program is now closed to open for the new permition for both diploma degree and bachelor degree. The existing study programs have to apply the Internal Quality Assurance

  5. Response to the summary of the workshop 3. The interest of the students in Agriculture ad natural science study program is declining at the moment. Government now is trying to make a program to revitalize them, focusing on curriculum development, laboratory procurement, and building the image 4. IQF is still in establishing process by MoNE and Ministry of Manpower. Sanctioning, socialization, dissemination are necessary

It is not important to have the same Qualification Framework, but we need to understand and respect to each qualification framework since the priority of the national development is not the same, and the law of each countries is also different. I personally inspired by the result of this workshop that in the future DGHE should facilitate the communication between DGHE- National Acrreditation Agency-Proffesional Bodies in determining the minimum standard of education and accreditation process. We are now in the progress of establishing the new independent accreditation body for the Health field (medical doctor, dentistry, midwifery and nursing) study program

RECOMMENDATION to RTM • Internally driven quality assurance is an essential factor in the advancement of Higher Education Institutions (HEI) in ASEAN countries • There is a need to develop National Qualification Framework (NQF) in each ASEAN countries as one of the instruments of interaction among HEI • It is imperative to build trust and mutual recoginition among HEI, QA agencies, and professional bodies in ASEAN countries • QA agencies should actively seek inputs from professional bodies in developing standards and mechanism for accreditation
