Diploma Thesis: Analysis of the Backhaul in Wireless Networks using Stochastic Geometry Backhaul Layer Backhaul Node • Problem: Analyze the efficiency of the backhaul for homogeneous and heterogeneous networks using stochastic geometry. • Requirements: Sound foundations in real analysis (measure theory), probability theory and random processes, Communications System Theory, as well as proficiency in MATLAB/ Mathematica. • Description: The candidate is expected to understand and use existing theoretic modelsto carryout elementary extensions (under supervision) along with some simulations of the theoretic framework. • Takeaways: First hand experience of system level modeling, theoretical system analysis and sharpened simulation skills. • Contact: vinay.suryaprakash@ifn.et.tu-dresden.de BS Layer Macro BSs Users Micro BSs
