HACU National Internship Program • Open to Sophomores-Seniors currently enrolled in a degree-seeking program • http://www.hacu.net • Pay determined by class standing • Potential internship sites with Government Agencies, Non-profit Organizations, and Corporations • 80% of internships located in Washington, D.C. • 3.0 minimum GPA

NIH Summer Internship Program in Biomedical Research (SIP) • Open to all students currently enrolled in a degree-seeking program • http://www.training.nih.gov/programs/sip • Pay determined by class standing • Extensive application assistance found online, including a youtube video • http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=upPR_zTFDS8

INROADS • First & Second year students only • http://www.inroads.org • Multiple Paid Summer Internships • Opportunities in Los Angeles, although some industries may ask you to relocate for the summer • Extensive mentoring with leadership and professional development components • 2.8 minimum GPA

  6. Health Career Connections • Open to any student interested in public health • http://www.healthcareers.org • These are non-clinical internship • Various locations throughout the U.S. • 2.0 minimum GPA

Getty/LA County Arts Commission • Getty Multicultural Internship • http://www.getty.edu/foundation/funding/leaders/current/mui_students.html • Must be of African American, Hispanic, Native American or Pacific Islander descent • Los Angeles County Arts Commission • http://www.lacountyarts.org/internstudents.html • Can be of any background
