  2. Negative statement • I am not going to eat • You are not going to pay • He-she- it is not going to buy • We are not going to take • They are not going to paint • Short answers/ contraction • ‘I am not. I’m not –youaren’t- she isn’t- we aren’t-they aren’t

  3. Yes and No questions Am I going to eat ? • Are you going to eat ? • Is he-she-it going to eat ? • Are we going to eat ? Are they going to eat ? _______________________________ What am I going to eat? Where are you going to eat?

  4. Wh- Questions What am I going to eat ? • Where are you going to eat ? • When is he-she-it going to eat ? • What are we going to eat ? When are they going to eat ?

  5. Future Time Expression [8.2] Am I going to eat in two minutes ? • Are you going to pay next month ? • Is he going to go tonight ? • Are we going to travel in a week from today ? Are they going to study tomorrow evening ?

  6. Present Continuousas a Future Tense • We can say : • I am going to leave in two hours. • I am leaving in two hours. [ present continous] • He is meeting the doctor in 10 minutes. • We are flying in two minutes. • She is visiting her friends tomorrow morning. • I am studying tomorrow evening.

Will • We use will to make predictions • About what we think will happen. • Also we use will for the future when we decide to do something at the moment of speaking. • We don’t use will for the plans in the future which were made before this moment. • What are your plans for tomorrow. • I am studying tomorrow.
