  1. Airplane • Inventor- Orville and Wilbur Wright • When- December 17, 1903 • How does it work- Four forces keep it up in the air. Lift pushes the airplane up. The wings help it lift. Weight is the force that pulls the airplane downward towards Earth. Thrust is the force that moves the airplane forward. Drag slows the airplane.
