    5. The Big Picture

    6. God’s Perspective of The Family Ephesians 5:23 23 For the husband is the head of the wife , even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body. Ephesians 5:31-32 31 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife , and they two shall be one flesh. 32 This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church.

    11. As a Mother Isaiah 66:13 13 As one whom his mother comforteth, so will I comfort you; and ye shall be comforted in Jerusalem. Family Roles – God Illustrates

    12. As a Father Exodus 4:22 22 And thou shalt say unto Pharaoh, Thus saith the LORD, Israel is my son , even my firstborn: Family Roles – God Illustrates

    13. As a Son Matthew 1:23 23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us. Luke 2:49-52 49 And he said unto them, How is it that ye sought me? wist ye not that I must be about my Father's business? 50 And they understood not the saying which he spake unto them. 51 And he went down with them, and came to Nazareth, and was subject unto them: but his mother kept all these sayings in her heart. 52 And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man. Family Roles – God Illustrates

    14. Father Ephesians 6:4 4 And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.

    15. Husband Ephesians 5:25 25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; Ephesians 5:28 28 So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself. Ephesians 5:29 29 For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church:

    16. Husband Ephesians 5:33 33 Nevertheless let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife see that she reverence her husband.

    17. Mother Proverbs 31:15 15 She riseth also while it is yet night, and giveth meat to her household, and a portion to her maidens. Proverbs 31:28 28 Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her.

    18. Wife Ephesians 5:22 22 Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord. Ephesians 5:33 33 Nevertheless let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife see that she reverence her husband.

    19. Wife Proverbs 31:11 11 The heart of her husband doth safely trust in her, so that he shall have no need of spoil.

    20. Children Ephesians 6:1-3 6:1 Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right. 2 Honour thy father and mother; (which is the first commandment with promise;) 3 That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth.

    21. Children Proverbs 20:20 20 Whoso curseth his father or his mother , his lamp shall be put out in obscure darkness. Proverbs 23:22 22 Hearken unto thy father that begat thee, and despise not thy mother when she is old.

    22. Why so much division Ephesians 5:21 21 Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God. Lack of submission the other family roles will cause division.
