Cleaning tips for your wooden dining table • Dining tables or kitchen tables are usually the melting point of family and friends, it is a place where important discussions take place, a place of sharing and caring. It is also the place where papers and personal items are piled up, drinks get spilled, household items are cluttered.it is important that we keep our dining tables clean and tidy as it is your eating area too. Whether you have wooden black and white dining tables, or tables with glass, marble, wood or glossed tops daily maintenance is a must. • Cleaning wooden tables • If you have a wooden dining table blackmade of oak wood or pine, follow the tips given to maintain your dinner table, • For daily cleaning, dampen a soft cloth lightly and wipe it across the surface of the table. Then wipe it with a dry microfiber cloth or soft material so that no dust is left behind. • If there are any cracks or joints in your black round dining table, take an old tooth brush and brush the bristles into the cracks to bring the dust out. For sticky, tough grimes add a drop of mild liquid soap on the brush and scrub till the cracks are clean. • You can use readymade wood cleaner, if you feel that your wooden round dining table modern has stubborn stains, wipe the table with the cleaning solution focussing on the grimy areas. Wipe it immediately with a clean cloth, remember to not let the moisture linger on the wood for long. • If there is a tough stain that you find difficult to remove, try your luck with mineral spirits. Dampen a cloth with mineral spirits and scrub the tough stains. Mineral spirits are safe to use on wood, but do try it in a hidden area of the table as a trial. • Purchase a wood shop from any local hardware or furniture superstore, use a cloth to polish your table with wood wax and then take another soft cloth to polish and buff the table. Wood wax is usually used to restore shine so use it when necessary.
