  1. What is the difference between end table and a coffee table? People often got confused what would be the usage of so many tables in the living room, but each table has its own benefits and usage. It is hard to understand what you would need for your living room to look complete. But here, we are going to discuss about the difference between coffee table and the end table. Yes, of course there is a difference between these two tables. Coffee tables are large and lower than end tables. As for the end table, the name of the table is self-explanatory; it sits either side of your couch or sofa, at about the same height as the couch or sofa’s arms. Whereas, the coffee table like small oak coffee table are placed in front of the couch, and it is of the same height as the couch seat. Let’s compare the coffee and the end table The following the table will help you understand the difference between the two: Features Location in living room Coffee Table They are placed in front of the couch End Table They are placed at the end of the couch or can also be placed beside chairs or loveseat Height It should be as high as the seat of the couch It should be as high or higher than the couch but should not too lower as it would not be functional Surface area Should be large enough to accommodate board games and to place all your coffee cups The surface area of the table should be small, but should be enough for setting down a glass of water Dimensions Length: 36 to 48 inches W: 18 to 24 inches H: 16 to 21 inches Length: 22 to 28 inches W: 14 to 26 inches H: 16 to 21 inches In addition to the above difference, there are many similarities as well between these two like style, shape and material.
