  1. Project - Actions & Milestones • Form teams and identify at least three topics of interest in writing to the instructor in order of priority (Group) • In consultation with the instructor, finalize a theme (Group) • Identify examples of existing application interfaces conforming to the theme that you wish to examine and suggest improvements (Group) • Update your notebook with a critique of an existing interface (Individual). Submit notebook as outlined here. • Apply interaction design concepts studied in class to improve or augment the existing interface (Group) • Update your notebook with the new interface design and prototype description (Individual). Submit notebook. (Combine with Step 8) • Demonstrate a new prototype (Group) • Update your notebook with the interface test plan (Individual). Submit notebook. • Present your project (All team members need to present) • Edit and refine your notebook and submit as project report (Individual).

  2. Presentation Template (15 + 5 mins) • Summary of the project (1 slide) • Project Theme and its Significance (1 slide) • Comparison and Critique of Existing Interfaces (~3 slides) • (Based on Notebook 1) • Key Interaction Design Concepts Unique to the Theme (~5 slides)(Based on Notebook 2 Templates given in class) • Show new prototype – clearly bring out changes made and why (~2 slides) • Strategy and Planning for Usability Evaluation (2 slides) • Usability Evaluation Method(s) and Evaluationplan (~3 slides) • Extra Effort: Conduct a usability test and report the results • Contributions and Implications (1 slide) (Bring out the impact of futuristic I/O devices)
