I kept looking for one of my own, but I could never find one.”

  4. Tip from a writing nerd: • You’d be amazed at just how often kids have already written a wonderful lead…it is just buried within the draft. • How to find it: IS there a point of the story where the action begins? That’s your lead. You can explain the background stuff later.
