  9. What is how do ideas travel ? • A one day off timetable ( or parts thereof) programme bringing together science and humanities teachers • A series of tasks and activities-some general, some uniquely scientific, some historical • A day that elicits a range of key skills • A fun day for all

  10. Pupils are invited to act as consultants for a new television programme that aims to explore why Baghdad (and the wider Islamic world) was so important in world history An invitation – and a challenge

How do these resources and all 1001 materials enhance the curriculum? • Community cohesion – Ensuring that the curriculum reflects and values a wide range of groups and cultures represented in modern British society • The Prevent Agenda and combating Islamophobia – Challenging stereotypes that underpin the arguments of violent extremist groups • Personal Learning and Thinking Skills – Developingcritical, creative thinking and problem solving as individuals and in pairs and teams • The Global Dimension – Evaluating events from a global perspective

In terms of APP this work will inform assessment of all five Assessment Foci.
