WASEX Concept • WASEX: • A “War at Sea Exercise” to practice and rehearse a sustained large scale live maneuver • Mission: • Protect the Strike Group from OPFOR Surface Action Group conducting blockade and anti-ship operations for a 36 hour window within a defined, high density battle space during RIMPAC Force Integration Training Phase

  38. WASEX Concept (cont) • Mission Objective: • Find, Fix, Track, Target enemy surface formations and threat aircraft in order to ensure mission success while ESG conducts amphibious operations • Purpose: • Composite unit training to prepare for RIMPAC free play exercise
